Guitars from the Electromatic series are modern classics from Gretsch. Their unique sound, great style and playing comfort guarantee that once you pick them up, you won't want to let them go.

The more compact body of the G5655TG semi-hollow single-cut model is made of over-ply maple and a chambered spruce center block that reinforces the guitar's soundboard. Glued to the maple neck with a Thin "U" profile is a fig wood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Neo-Classical Thumbnail).

The two Black Top Filter'Tron humbuckers give the guitar the authentic Gretsch sound and feel for which these instruments have been considered quintessential rock 'n' roll guitars since the very beginnings of the genre. Two volume potentiometers (separate for each pickup), a tone shutter, a master volume control and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound.

Precise tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings via the artificial bone zero fret in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and in the Adjusto-Matic tailpiece mounted on a solid wooden base. A licensed Bigsby B70 tremolo adds subtle sound effects to your playing. The classic eye-pleasing design of Gretsch guitars is accentuated by a number of stylish features - from the arched body construction, elegant binding with a subtle hint of patina (Aged White) and black and white pickguard, gloss gold hardware to the Gold Plexi pickguard with black Gretsch company logo.
