Jet electric guitars, whether they are models from the basic Electromatic series or the higher Professional series, are united by the use of a solid body with one or two cutouts. These are very versatile instruments that can be used in a wide range of musical styles without any problems.
The G5260 is a baritone guitar in the single-cut design of the Electromatic series with a longer scale and tuning from H, a pure fifth lower. The body of the instrument is made of mahogany. The bolted maple neck with Thin U profile is glued to a fig fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Pearloid Big Block).
Two of the company's mini humbuckers provide the guitar with a defined, articulate sound even with higher distortion and more pronounced tuning, which the longer neck (756 mm) invites. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. The strings are held in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines, Adjusto-Matic adjustable tailpiece and Gretsch V Stoptail stringers. The instrument's stylish design is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a bright body surround complemented by black and white lines, chrome hardware and a black Plexi pickguard adorned with a white Gretsch logo.
