The Multiac series of the Canadian brand Godin offers atypical models of hybrid electroacoustic instruments with unusual sound possibilities and interesting design.
The sound of the Multiac Nylon Deluxe - NEW model is based on a chambered mahogany body and a solid spruce top. A fingerboard made of modern richlite composite material with twenty-two frets is glued to the bolted mahogany neck. Thanks to the chambered body design, the guitar is completely immune to feedback, so even loud gigs with a band pose no problem.
The sound is captured using a custom L.R. Baggs preamp, which offers two sound sources - six individual piezo stones and a lyric microphone located under the soundboard. The preamp thus perfectly captures not only the resonance of the strings, but also percussive elements, which will be appreciated by players of flamenco and other expressive styles. Use the front-mounted faders (three-band EQ, piezo volume, mic blend, tape saturation) and the Phase switch to adapt the instrument's sound to the environment.
The guitar's nylon strings are held in place via Graphtech zero frets in classic open tuners with a 16:1 gear ratio and a richlite fingerboard. The instrument comes in a gig bag.
