The GODIN LGXT SA Cognac Burst Flame AA electric hybrid midi guitar combines the single-cut design and humbucker sound of Seymour Duncan electric guitars with the acoustic sound of LR Baggs piezo stones. In addition, thanks to the 13-pin connector and special RMC electronics, the instrument can be connected to Roland synthesizers to combine the sounds of electric and acoustic guitars with those of synthesizers.
The silver-leaf maple body is adorned with an AA-quality figured maple veneer and a glossy Cognac Burst Flame finish. Glued to the mahogany neck is a fingerboard made of modern richlite composite material fitted with twenty-two frets. The strings are mounted in tuning machines with an 18:1 gear ratio and floating tremolo with the aforementioned piezo stones.
And now to the electronics. The sound of the two Seymour Duncan humbuckers (Custom Custom and Jazz SH-2n) can be handled by volume potentiometers, tone shutter and a five-position pickup switch that offers split-coil configurations at positions 2 and 4, i.e. a sound with the character of single-coil pickups. The remaining potentiometer is a volume control for external synths. You adjust the sound of the piezo pickups using the controls at the top of the instrument (volume, bass, mids, treble). The switches next to the potentiometers are used to switch between synth presets and to select the circuitry (Synth, Synth/Piezo/Electric, Piezo/Electric).
The two guitar outputs (Mix/Acoustic and Electric) allow you to send out a mix of electric/acoustic signal via one cable, or output the signal from the piezo stones and pickups separately. A third MIDI 13-pin connector connects the guitar to Roland GR synths, turning it either purely into a synth or mixing all three sounds.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
