GODIN A12
The A series offers instruments that fully reflect Godin's philosophy - atypical models of hybrid electroacoustic instruments with unusual sound possibilities and interesting design. The advantage of these instruments is that they combine the sound of acoustic guitars or basses, the comfort of playing electric instruments and often much more. And as is usual with Godin, precision craftsmanship, the use of quality materials and great sound are a given.
Body and neck
The body of this instrument is made of chambered silver-leaf maple with a solid cedar top, which makes for a very natural, colourful, balanced and lively sound. The bolt-on neck is made of maple and features a richlite composite fingerboard with 22 frets. As far as technical information is concerned, the gauge is 648 millimeters, the fingerboard radius is 16 inches, and the width of the zero fret is 42.8 millimeters.
Sensors and electronics
Godin used a special sound sensing system here. It is a sub-cubic piezo pickup, which is complemented by a specially developed preamplifier with volume control and a three-band equalizer.
Hardware
The instrument's fingerboard is richlite, as is the fingerboard, while the strings on the other side lead into high-quality tuning machines.
