The five-string electroacoustic violin from the AEX series from the American manufacturer Glasser combines the latest technology in acoustic instrument manufacturing with top-quality electronics from the renowned Bartolini company.
A special carbon-fibre composite material has been used for their manufacture, giving these patented instruments durability and sonic qualities you would look for in vain elsewhere. If required, you can then use the active electronics, housed in the company's Swordtail system, which is located in the chinrest, and with which you can connect the instrument to the apparatus.
The instruments are fully tuned by the manufacturer themselves and come complete with quality Larsen strings, tuning pegs with gears and the company's own composite carbon stringers, complete with a set of tuners.
The AEX models then feature a unique soft-gloss finish, giving you a range of colour options that will complement your unique style and catch the eye.
Glasser traces its origins to a small New York workshop where Leon Glasser began handcrafting traditional wooden bows in 1938. Then in 1962, Glasser and his sons developed and patented the first fiberglass bow, beginning a revolution in the field of synthetic bows. Since then, the company has grown considerably and is now one of the world's leading manufacturers of quality equipment. The company has always been innovative, and as a result has been very quick to adopt the latest technologies. However, it has never abandoned its original meticulousness, enthusiasm and top quality.
