G&L USA Fullerton Deluxe Comanche - Midnight Blue Metallic

The G&L Comanche electric guitar design represents Leo Fender's final word on the classic double-cut ST design. The body of the USA Fullerton Deluxe Comanche Midnight Blue Metallic is made of alder. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets (Jescar 57110) is glued to a bolt-on maple neck with a "Modern Classic" profile. Position dots on the fingerboard facilitate orientation.
Three MFD (Magnetic Field Design) Z-coil hum-cancelling pickups give the guitar (by single-coil standards) a more powerful output without the accompanying annoying hum, while also, when the volume and bass are turned down on the guitar's potentiometers, a beautifully clear articulate sound. Its character can be adjusted using the volume potentiometer, two tone controls (Passive Treble and Bass), a five-position pickup switch and an Expander mini switch that expands the guitar's sonic arsenal to include pickup configurations of the tailpiece + neck and all three pickups simultaneously.
The strings are anchored by tuning machines with a 12:1 gear ratio and Dual Fulcrum vibrato with brass saddles and two-point mounting.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
The G&L brand was founded in the late 1970s and early 1980s by Leo Fender, George Fullerton and Dale Hyatt. The design of electric guitars and basses with the G&L logo thus hints at what other world-famous brands might have looked like if Leo Fender had not got rid of the brand in the mid-1960s. Moreover, G&L's American-made guitars are still made in Fullerton on Fender Avenue, so they offer a piece of guitar history alongside stylish design and great sound.
