The Tribute Fallout Candy Apple Red RW electric guitar is an instrument from the more affordable Tribute line made in Asia. It's an offset body guitar based on the Leo Fender-designed SC-2 model from the 80s, and it oozes the energy of punk bands and the indie scene in general. It features a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck with a nice "Medium C" profile and a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo nickel frets.
Two Paul Gagon-designed alnico magnet pickups, a P-90 humbucker and a P-90 neck, give the guitar a wide range of tones from predatory distortion to beautifully ringing clean sounds. The push/pull function of the tone shutter control allows you to unzip the humbucker coils and change the character of the sound purely to single-coil.
Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by anchoring the strings in 18:1 ratio gears and Saddle Lock tailpiece, which prevents movement of individual saddles and thus loss of sustain. The nice workmanship is underlined by the three-layer black pickguard and the stylish headstock.
The G&L brand was founded in the late 1970s and early 1980s by Leo Fender, George Fullerton and Dale Hyatt. The design of electric guitars and basses bearing the G&L logo is a nod to what other world-famous brands might have looked like had Leo Fender not got rid of the brand in the mid-1960s.
