Acoustic guitars from the J-45 series are among the most famous and popular instruments produced by the American company Gibson. It is no wonder that these "workhorse" models were favoured by the famous American guitarist Slash and he still performs with them today.
The Slash J-45 electroacoustic guitar is part of the Slash Collection series. The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back and sides are made of solid mahogany. The resonance of the top is supported by hand-cut X-type ribbing. The rounded mahogany neck with a "Custom Slash Round" profile is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Standard-size frets. Mother-of-Pearl position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
The strings are mounted in Grover Rotomatics tuning machines and rosewood fingerboard. The styling is accentuated by the multi-layered double-sided perimeter binding, signature "Skully" artwork on the back of the headstock and Slash's signature on the bracing cap.
High-quality voicing with preservation of the natural acoustic tone is guaranteed by L.R. Baggs VTC electronics. The guitar comes in a case. A set of accessories is included along with an unsigned/empty brace cover and four Slash Jim Dunlop Tortex picks.
