Acoustic guitars from the J-45 series are among the most famous and popular instruments produced by the American company Gibson. The first guitars with this designation were introduced to the public in 1942. From the very beginning, they have been described by the manufacturer as "workhorse", i.e. maximally practical instruments without significant cosmetic accessories, suitable for everyday gigging.
The front plate of the J-45 Standard Rosewood Rosewood Burst electroacoustic guitar is made of Sitka spruce, while the back plate and sides are made of rosewood. The resonance of the top is supported by hand-cut X-type ribbing, and the body is covered with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. Glued to the mahogany neck is an Indian rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Standard-size frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by pearl position dots.
The strings are mounted in Grover Rotomatic tuning machines in gold finish and rosewood fingerboard over the TusQ zero and saddle frets. The stylish finish is accentuated by the double-sided perimeter body binding and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard.
High-quality acoustic sound transmission is guaranteed by LR Baggs VTC electronics. The guitar is supplied in a case.
