The Falcon 5 1x10 Combo pays homage to Gibson's illustrious past, specifically the Gibson Skylark guitars of the 1950s and 1960s. Its design is credited to Randall Smith with the MESA/Boogie Design Team, and the combo itself is manufactured in Pentaluma, California. It represents an ideal choice for all players who prefer a guitar with sensitivity to playing dynamics, detailed sound response and awesome poweramp overdrive, which you can achieve at an acceptable volume thanks to the low wattage.
It's a single-channel combo with two inputs (Normal and Low) and switchable power (Full Power 7 watts, Low Power 3 watts) that gives you the awesome vintage sound of a Class A rear amp and a ten-inch Jensen Blackbird 40 Alnico speaker. Adjust the character of the sound to your liking with the Volume and Tone controls, while the Reverb control of the built-in spring reverb gives the sound another dimension.
The combo also offers a Slave output (Monitor Out) with fixed output attenuation, speaker outputs (one with 8 ohms, two with 4 ohms) and a stylish boutique design in the form of a vinyl cabinet cover (Cream Bronco) and front sound grille (Oxblood). The cabinet construction itself is made from high quality plywood (Marine Grade, Baltic Birch) and includes a combo cover.
