The Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal is an analogue optical spring reverb that combines the best features of a spring reverb with a system of infrared optical sensors and an effects section. Using multiple sets of infrared optical sensors, it creates a new way of capturing spring vibrations. This method allows the full range of spring motion to be captured, i.e. a wider range of frequencies and textures that are normally lost in mechanical spring systems.
The Light Pedal offers six types of unique reverb effects in two categories, Optical FX and Mechanical FX, each of which can be adjusted with the CTRL knob; the Gate knob controls the built-in envelope filter. The other knobs determine the ratio of the clean signal (Dry), the volume of the dry signal (Spring for the spring reverb signal, Optical for the optical signal and Tone for both signals simultaneously) and the intensity of the wet signal/reverb (Drive). Two switches determine the latch/momentary function of the footswitch pedal and the trails function, i.e., the reverb of the effect after the pedal is turned off. Extended control options offer an input for an expression pedal.
The pedal effect is wired as a buffered bypass. A 9V DC center negative adapter (not included) is required for power supply.
