The Gamechanger Audio Bigsby Pedal is a polyphonic Pitch-shifter effect created in collaboration with Fender that authentically reproduces the string-bending and vibrato effects created by the Bigsby lever and other traditional tremolo systems. The SHARC processor's hybrid algorithm ensures that a smooth polyphonic pitch shift is achieved in real time at small intervals. This preserves the natural timbre and sound of electric and acoustic stringed instruments, including baritone and bass guitar, mandolin, banjo and other instruments.
The Detune parameter emulates the minor imperfections and dissonances of traditional mechanical tremolo systems, making the resulting sound almost indistinguishable from traditional tremolo. The three rotary backlit knobs offer dual functions, Depth determines the pitch shift interval of the effect over a range of one octave (downward in the first mode, in the second the opposite direction), Blend determines the ratio of dry/wet signal or EQ wet signal (Tone), Rate determines the speed of the vibrato effect or the degree of detune (Detune). The sound possibilities are extended by the possibility of connecting an external expression pedal and controlling the parameters via MIDI.
To power the pedal, a 9V DC center negative adapter is required (not included).
