Furch Yellow Series acoustic guitars are available with both Sitka spruce and Western red cedar soundboards, offering two distinct sound characteristics. While Sitka spruce brings with it a powerful and dynamic tone, cedar is characterized by a more balanced and rich sound.

The Dreadnought Yellow Dc-CR offers a combination of a cedar soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides. The Full-Pore High-Gloss body finish, a full-pore, high-gloss lacquer finish, improves the acoustic properties of the guitars, provides excellent surface protection and enhances the wood's natural texture. Furch CNR System two-way neck bracing increases the strength, stability and durability of the neck. The excellent acoustic properties of the instruments are enhanced by the special ribbing on the soundboard.

The look of Furch Yellow guitars is suitably complemented by the imitation tortoiseshell binding with five layers of black and white contrasting lines and a rosette made up of a double mother-of-pearl ring. The transparent pickguard lets the natural grain of the wood stand out while not affecting the resonance of the soundboard. Orientation on the ebony fingerboard is facilitated by the side pearl position markers and Eclipse front pearl rings. Top-of-the-line Gotoh 510 mechanics in silver patina with ebony pegs and fine 1:21 gearing guarantee stable tuning.

Few Czech products have the worldwide reputation of Furch guitars. The company started in 1981 in one of the many garages in socialist Czechoslovakia, still illegal at the time. Today, the company's acoustic guitars are played by Suzanne Vega, Glen Hansard, David Knopfler, Aneta Langerová, David Koller, Xavier Baumaxa and many others.
