The Furch Rainbow range of acoustic guitars gives every guitarist the opportunity to build an instrument to their own specifications. The guitars are based on a top-quality all-solid body in a master grade finish, which can be complemented with many elements and accessories from all Furch "color" models (hence the name Rainbow series).
The soundboard of the deluxe Orchestra (OM) Rainbow Rainbow OM-TL model is made of select Sitka spruce with an Aged finish, while the back and sides are made of black walnut with a nice claro finish. The Full-Pore High-Gloss finish, a full-pore, high-gloss lacquer finish, improves the acoustic properties of the guitar, provides excellent surface protection and enhances the natural texture of the wood. Furch CNR System two-way neck bracing increases the strength, stability and durability of the neck.
The fingerboard and headstock are made of ziricote. The fingerboard surface is decorated with mother-of-pearl position markers. The refined look of the guitar is accentuated by the imitation mother-of-pearl body binding, redheart soundboard inlay with black and white lines, double-ring rosette with redheart inlay, ziricote veneer on the headstock, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and ebony pegs in the fingerboard. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the high-quality Gotoh 510 Gold patina movement with ebony pegs.
The guitar comes in a luxurious moulded case.
Few Czech products have the worldwide reputation of Furch guitars. The company started in 1981 in one of the many garages of socialist Czechoslovakia, still illegal at the time. Today, the company's acoustic guitars are played by Suzanne Vega, Glen Hansard, David Knopfler, Aneta Langerová, David Koller, Xavier Baumaxa and many others. Furch guitars are best advertised by their reputation.
