Furch Grand Nylon Series instruments bring together two guitar worlds, one dominated by the sound and lightness of a classical guitar and the other by the ergonomics of a guitar with metal strings.
The body of the GNc 4-SR is constructed with a solid Sitka spruce front and Indian rosewood back and sides. The combination of these materials, along with the guitar's proven internally-ribbed construction, gives the instrument a rich melodic sound and an ideal balance and tone length ratio.
An ebony fingerboard is glued to an African mahogany neck with a Furch Soft V profile and a traditional 12th fret connection to the body. Nylon strings are secured across the TusQ zero and saddle frets in an ebony fingerboard and Schaller Hauser chrome tuning machines. The guitar's attractive natural look is accentuated by details in the form of a glossy body finish, faux tortoiseshell binding with contrasting lines, a double-ring rosette with faux tortoiseshell inlay, white mother-of-pearl dot position markers, polished ebony tuning pegs and a transparent pickguard.
The guitar comes in a Hiscox case.
