The Fulltone Queen Bee is a pure analogue fuzz pedal with three NOS germanium transistors and the response of real guitars, i.e. a dynamic response to your playing and a harmonically rich sound with warm mids and long sustain. With three transistors, the box will give you more fuzz distortion and sustain than fuzz pedals with two transistors, while producing relatively low noise by high-gain pedal standards. The equalizer section, in the form of a passive Treble control and a three-position Bass switch that you can use to boost or mute the bass when needed, lets you tailor the fuzz pedal's response to your guitar rigs. You can also change the character of the sound using the internal trimmer , which changes the bias setting of the third transistor.
The box is wired as a true bypass. A 9V battery or 9V DC Center Positive adapter (not included) is required to power the pedal effect.
The American brand Fulltone was one of the leading manufacturers of boutique pedal effects from the 1990s until the year of discontinuation (2022).
