The Overdrive Fulltone OCD changed the pedal effects market in 2004 by using a MOSFET operational amplifier. The result was a more open and dynamic sound that was more respectful of the subtle nuances of guitar playing and sound. As a result, the OCD excels in a variety of situations - as a clean boost, as a tube amp booster/overdrive, but can also create distortion/distortion with a distinctive sonic character.
The OCD v1.4 Custom Shop is a reissue of the OCD pedal from 2009. The 2009 version of the OCD 1.4 is particularly appreciated among musicians - the circuit includes a germanium diode, bass attenuation and a volume control with more precise settings compared to previous versions. The HP/LP switch allows you to switch between a punchy British sound similar to Vox/Marshall machines and a more transparent sound. A 9-18V adapter or 9V battery is required to power the pedal effect (adapter not included).
The American brand Fulltone was one of the leading manufacturers of boutique pedal effects from the 1990s until the year of discontinuation (2022). Boxes such as the Full Drive or OCD are sure to be found in many pedalboards of well-known and respected musicians. But nothing lasts forever, and so the Fulltone brand returns in an exclusive partnership with pedal effects manufacturer Jackson Audio. The brand's founder, Mike Fuller, continues as production supervisor and designer of the new pedal effects.
