Unpacked Microphone Pre-Amplifier / HN277934
The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre is an eight-channel microphone preamplifier and AD/DA converter with ADAT digital interface. The second generation microphone preamplifier operates at 24 bit/192 kHz resolution and offers a dynamic range of up to 109 dB. Two front-panel analog inputs are capable of handling microphone, line-level or direct instrument (Hi-Z) signals. The OctoPre is an ideal studio accessory for extending the connectivity of Scarlett series soundcards and other ADAT-equipped instruments. The converter is designed for rack-mount installation, where it takes up one height unit.
The Scarlett OctoPre features eight analog inputs with combined XLR/TRS connectors. Each input channel is equipped with a volume control and an attenuation switch (-8 dB). For channels 1 and 2, the user has the option of selecting the input sensitivity (LINE/INST). The signal can be routed to the eight digital (ADAT optical interface) or eight analogue (TRS) outputs. Signal strength is indicated by coloured LEDs on a clear panel. Communication with other studio instruments is handled by a BNC sync terminal for WordClock. The included software package includes the Red Plug-in Suite (Focusrite), Time and Tone Bundle (Softube), Plug-in Collective (Focusrite).
Hitmaker Expansion Package
The software package is now expanded with new plug-ins that will take your audio to a professional level and greatly simplify the entire recording and post-production process. The Hitmaker Expansion includes Auto-tune Access for vocals, Relab's unique LX480 Essentials studio reverb, Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 virtual tube amp, XLN Addictive Drums and Keys, 2 plugins and Polysynth by Brainworx, Focusrite Red 2 & 3 (EQ and compressor), or a three month license of Splice Sounds and Pro Tools.
