The Scarlett 8i6 is an advanced model of the Scarlett 3rd generation soundcard series. It replaces the 6i6 in the new series and provides producers with extreme connectivity options that allow them to keep all their hardware plugged in and ready to go at all times. The Scarlett 8i6 promises a fully professional service beyond the walls of the recording studio. Through two combo and four line inputs, it offers the ability to easily simultaneously record instruments and vocals. The presence of MIDI and SPDIF connectors extends the device's connectivity to include synthesizers or drum modules. The 8i6 features six line inputs and two headphone outputs with separate volume control. It also offers high quality AD/DA converters capable of working with resolutions up to 24 -bit/192 kHz or microphone preamps with AIR mode function to simulate legendary ISA preamps. The third generation Scarlett features significantly less distortion and latency, greater signal-to-noise ratio or more headroom. Connectivity via USB-C is a new feature.

An industrial design with controls and a sleek chassis made of metal delivers durability and longevity that will prove itself in any demanding application. The latest version of the Scarlett microphone preamps offers a more balanced and wider Gain control potentiometer than before, allowing for very smooth adjustment of input levels. Similarly, the instrument input has been redesigned to cope with even the most powerful guitar pickups. To be safe, the analog input and output sections are equipped with circuitry to protect the soundcard from unwanted signal spikes.
