Focusrite RedNet X2P

Focusrite RedNet X2P is a modern Dante™ premium quality dual channel audio interface in a compact desktop design.

RedNet X2P is a compact 2 x 2 Dante™ audio interface with two Red Evolution microphone preamps, stereo line out and stereo headphone amplifier. The RedNet X2P instantly adds I/O to your Focusrite Red interface or any Dante™ (audio-over-IP) system. Power, audio transmission and remote control is provided by a single Ethernet cable - just use an Ethernet power switch or PoE injector. A local input mixer allows for "more me" personal monitoring control, while locking controls ensure that settings remain unchanged when used remotely.

Red Evolution 's two digitally controlled microphone preamps provide plenty of ultra-clean gain along with stereo interconnects, individual phantom power, high-pass filtering and phase reversal capability. In addition, the preamps include an Air mode that emulates the sound of Focusrite's classic transformer mic preamps.

A pair of 6.3 mm XLR/jack combo inputs allow for the connection of microphone, line or instrument signals. The rear-panel XLR analog outputs offer adjustable levels up to 24 dBu, while the front-panel 1/4" connector provides a powerful headphone output that is tailored for both high and low impedance headphone operation.

The top panel contains a full range of controls - output level for headphone and line outputs, mic preamp gain control, high-pass filter, AIR, phase inversion, phantom power and stereo interconnect.

RedNet X2P provides high-performance audio conversion with a dynamic range of over 118 dB. These converters have been expertly selected and calibrated to provide the best balance between sound quality, dynamic range and conversion latency.

Sometimes it is useful to have direct feedback in the interface, so the RedNet X2P features a controller that allows you to independently control the level of the local inputs and network channels, which are routed to either the line outputs or headphone outputs. The unit can be mounted directly on the microphone stand so it is unobstructed and within easy reach.
Flexible control locks allow you to lock local control of mic preamp settings, output settings, or both. Leave the RedNet X2P to your artists and let them adjust the mix and level of the headphones with the confidence that they can't accidentally adjust the mic preamp gain.
