Focusrite RedNet R1

The Focusrite RedNet R1 is a control unit and remote control for Focusrite Red and Dante audio interfaces that allows users to interact with their audio system like never before. It provides the flexibility to control a range of different monitoring output settings, from mono to 7.1.2 surround sound, including Dolby Atmos® and other modern audio work configurations. Alternatively, up to 12 outputs can be set to configure completely customized speaker configurations. RedNet R1 can be used to control groups of outputs from many Red interface sources and destinations, including sources from Pro Tools | HD and other DAWs, analog inputs and outputs, ADAT and S/PDIF connections, and from entire Dante audio ecosystems.

RedNet R1 supports a maximum of 8 input sources from 32 available audio channels across analog, digital, DAW and Dante connections, while mixing and routing signals to up to 12 output channels. Top panel controls include level adjustment, reference level presets,CUT, DIM, MUTE and various solo modes. There's an A/B switch for switching between numerous monitoring presets and four presets for quickly switching downmix control. Custom cue mixes can be sent from any of the 32 available inputs.

RedNet R1 also features a Dante-enabled talkback section, an internal microphone preamp, and a powerful headphone output so you can communicate with your Dante system like never before. When used with the Red interface, up to four target talkback groups are available. (When used with other Dante devices, one talkback group is available). RedNet R1 features an internal microphone or users can connect their own microphone via the XLR on the rear panel. The high fidelity headphone output is powerful enough to provide sound to high impedance headphones.

The RedNet R1 features two LCD displays for highly accurate measurement of output levels, sources and headphone outputs, and for visual navigation through menus. The unit is configured using the RedNet Control 2 software manager, which was designed primarily for ease of use in quickly setting up simple and complex monitoring and routing configurations. Talkback management, LFE muting and more can be controlled via a footswitch controller (not included). The device can be powered via Ethernet to reduce cabling complexity (using PoE standard) or by a DC power supply.
