The Focusrite RedNet A16R MkII is a 16-channel bi-directional AES3 interface for Dante® networks featuring power redundancy and Ethernet with automatic failover, making it the ideal choice for ensuring maximum quality and stability in many path-critical applications, whether in post-production, broadcast, live sound reinforcement or in the recording studio.
The RedNet A16R MKII is a 16 channel analogue interface for Dante networks with two channels of AES3 I/O. Individual input and output channel level controls allow precise adjustment of all I/O levels using RedNet Control. With two power supplies and etherCON primary and secondary network connectors, the RedNet A16R MKII is ideal for path-critical applications in recording, post-production, live sound and broadcast. Built-in redundancy features enable silent switching to another source in the event of a power or network failure, providing reassurance to system engineers.
Analog inputs and outputs are connected via four DB25 connectors with AES59 configuration on the rear panel, while an additional pair of AES3 inputs and outputs are available via male and female XLR for added flexibility. The XLR input can accept DARS signals in addition to AES3. Word Clock inputs and outputs on BNC connectors allow external devices to clock the RedNet A16R MKII, or allow the RedNet A16R MKII to function as a network clock grand master, synchronized to an external input.
