Flight's Travel Series offers affordable ukulele models made largely of ABS plastic, so they'll survive your mood swings and the vagaries of the weather unscathed.
The body of this concert ukulele is composed of a plastic body and a laminated mahogany soundboard. The ukulele's wider arched backplate allows the instrument to resonate with a clearer, louder sound than standard concert models offer. The neck and fingerboard are also made of ABS plastic material, with the neck design mimicking the texture of wood. The strings are anchored via plastic zero and saddle frets in guitar-style tuning machines (Geared) and a plastic headstock. The nice workmanship is emphasized by the headstock design decorated with mahogany veneer.
The ukulele is supplied in a blue denim case with an instructional booklet.
