The alder body in the asymmetrical shape of Jaguar electric guitars is covered in a glossy polyester lacquer. The neck and fingerboard are made of maple. The "Late 70s C" neck profile offers a familiar grip that will sit well in your hand, while the 7.25-inch fingerboard radius and Vintage Tall frets make it clear that you shouldn't count on any modifications or fretwork for modern players here. What you can count on, on the other hand, is a shorter menza (610 mm), so playing the guitar will suit people with smaller fingers.

A pair of vintage-style 70s single-coil pickups give the guitar a warm sound and feel with clearly admitted Fender DNA. Traditionally, Jaguar instruments also include electronics with two circuits (Lead and Rhythm) - in the former, both pickups are active and the character of the sound can be adjusted using the standard potentiometers, while in the Rhythm circuit only the neck pickup is active and its sound can be adjusted using the two rotary knobs (dials) Volume and Tone. Further sound corrections (pickup switching and bass-cut ) are made possible by three two-position switches.

The strings are mounted across the synthetic bone fretboard in the company's Fender Vintage "F" Stamped tuning machines and traditional floating tremolo. The styling is accentuated by a four-layer imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and the Fender logo on the traditionally larger 70s-design headstock.
