12-String Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN199532
The Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 String is a twelve-string electro-acoustic guitar designed by Tim Armstrong, producer and founder of the influential punk band Rancid. It is based on the same specifications as the six-string Hellcat signature models, which became a company bestseller soon after their release.
The top of this Concert guitar is made of solid mahogany. This gives the instrument a warm, pleasant sound. The back and sides are also made of mahogany (laminated). The maple neck with C profile and matt finish offers good playability and a pleasant finish across the entire width of the walnut fingerboard. It is fitted with nineteen Vintage Style frets, and its orientation is facilitated by decorative mother-of-pearl symbols. The instrument's natural resonant qualities are enhanced by the optimised reduced ribbing (Scalloped X).
The guitar is equipped with Fishman Isys III active electronics with integrated tuner. It is not only suitable for playing at home or around the campfire, but it will also find its place on stage. With rock bands, folk musicians or punk musicians; this guitar will work well and its sound will blend harmoniously with a wide range of musical styles.
The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by vintage-style chrome tuning mechanisms with plastic pins, a four-ply pickguard in imitation tortoiseshell and a 70's Fender-style rosette.
