Guitar fuzz effects are inherent to modern music and rock 'n' roll. Their characteristic sound, whether velvety warm or distorted and rough as sandpaper, is associated with many famous artists and musical formations, and even the current state of affairs does not suggest that anything is about to change in this respect.
The Trapper is a versatile fuzz effect that houses two different fuzz effect positions in one chassis. The first mode (Calm) offers a softer warm sound with optional doubling in the upper octave, i.e. traditional vintage fuzz/octave, the second (Possessed) a harsher sound with more distortion and an aggressive noise gate involved. Both modes have separate Level 1 and Level 2 potentiometers and share Tone and Contour knobs (the Octave switch and Fuzz knob are only active in Calm mode). The Select footswitch is used to switch between modes.
The chassis of the box is made of lightweight and durable anodized aluminum. LED backlit potentiometers give you a perfect overview of the current settings even in the dark corners of the stage - anyone who has ever picked up a "black Peter" and played on stage in the dark will surely understand. The effect is powered by a 9V adapter (not included) or a 9V battery.
