The Susan Tedeschi Telecaster Aged Caribbean Mist is the signature electric guitar model of American singer and guitarist Susan Tedeschi, known for her award-winning blues-rock band Tedeschi Trucks Band and solo work.
The alder body of this Telecaster features the Aged Caribbean Mist finish known from one of the artist's favorite (Caribbean Mist 1993 American Standard Tele) guitars. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets is glued to a narrower maple neck with a pleasing "Modern C" profile. White position dots on the fingerboard facilitate orientation.
Two Custom Susan Tedeschi Single-Coil Tele pickups take care of the guitar's sound. A tone shield with TBX (Treble Bass Expander) circuit stands out from the seemingly standard drivers. In the 1-5 range, this system works like a traditional tone potentiometer, but when set higher, its resistance is reduced, allowing it to let through more treble, bass and add power and clarity to the output signal.
The strings are mounted in the company's tuning machines and through a six-steel saddle through the body. The styling is accentuated by a four-ply imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and custom neck plate.
