The Fender Super Bassman 300 is an amplifier based on arguably one of the most famous instruments to ever see the light of day. In 1952, Leo Fender created the first version of it, which, although originally intended for his Precision Bass, caught on equally well with guitarists and spread to many musical styles. Its advantages are especially its very good and wide sound projection, its amazing dynamics and response to playing, and its full frequency response that lets the instrument and the guitarist's playing shine through.
As for the exact technical specifications, it is an all-tube amplifier that offers two channels and 300 watts of power. In its preamp you will find three 12AX7 tubes, in the final amplifier six 6550, not missing two 12AT7. You can work with two channels - Vintage and Overdrive.
The control panel is located on the top as standard. The inputs with different input levels are the first to catch the eye. The first channel allows you to adjust the volume and equalization using the Bass, Mid and Treble potentiometers. The second channel has its own set of controls, which include the same ones as the first channel, plus Gain to determine distortion, Mid-Freq to set the frequency of the Mid control, and Blend to blend in undistorted sound. Some of the controls are push/pull to boost specific frequencies or, conversely, to dampen the sound.
On the rear are outputs for speakers, which must have a minimum impedance of 2 ohms total, a Bias control, an effects loop, a Tuner-Out output, a footswitch input, and an XLR DI output with adjustable volume and switchable pre/post-EQ inclusion.
