Electric guitar SQ J MASCIS JAZZMASTER VWT was created in collaboration with the singer and guitarist of the famous American rock band Dinosaur Jr. J Mascis, who decided on the finish, hardware and pickups. It is a Jazzmaster from the more affordable Fender Squier line.
The guitar's limewood body is adorned with a gloss finish and Vintage White color scheme. Glued to the maple neck with a comfortable C profile is a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-one jumbo-sized frets and white position dots. The strings are mounted in vintage-style tuning machines and over an Adjusto-Matic fingerboard in a traditional Jazzmaster floating tremolo. The styling is accentuated by the anodized aluminum pickguard and the Fender Squier Jazzmaster logo on the headstock.
Two Soapbar Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups give the guitar a sound with authentic Fender fretboard. This is also respected in the design of the drivers, where you choose between two circuits (Lead and Rhythm). In the former, both pickups are active with standard sound adjustment options via the volume, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch potentiometers. In the Rhythm circuit, only the neck pickup is active, its sound can be shaped using two rotary knobs (dials) with Volume and Tone functions.
