The Fender Squier Jazz Bass charts the evolution of this legendary instrument, which has enriched recordings of all genres around the world for decades. The bass is inspired by a 1970s model, with the vintage look added by nickel hardware and an old-school neck finish.
The classic Jazz Bass body shape is made of poplar and features a black pickguard under the strings. The neck and fingerboard are made from maple as well. The gauge is measured at 864 mm and the neck profile is C-shaped. The fingerboard has twenty taller and steeper Narrow-Tall frets and is fitted with black blocks, the radius is 9.5 inches. The zero fret is bone and 47.6 mm wide.
The instrument features two Alnico Single-Coil pickups typical of Jazz Bass instruments. Two Volume and Tone knobs allow you to adjust the sound for a detailed adjustment of the treble and bass ratio.
All hardware is made of nickel for a more vintage effect, including the tuning machines. The instrument is factory strung with Fender NPS (.045 - .130) strings.
With this instrument, you pay tribute to the music of the last century that remains in our hearts and ears. Still, it is a versatile instrument suitable for all musical styles and playing techniques.
