The Redondo electroacoustic guitar belongs to the California series of the American brand Fender. These instruments are characterized by a combination of acoustic guitar features in the form of a bell-shaped body with a comfortable C-type neck profile and the headstock design of Stratocaster/Telecaster electric guitars.
The Redondo Player Sunburst is an electro-acoustic guitar with a solid body (Slope-Shoulder) and a full, punchy sound that is especially appreciated by guitarists who prefer to play with a pick, and open or lower tunings in addition to standard ones. The body construction offers a time-tested combination of woods in the form of a solid Sitka spruce front plate and mahogany back and sides. A walnut fingerboard with twenty frets is glued to the mahogany neck, and white position dots make it easy to navigate. The instrument's resonant qualities are enhanced by the optimized reduced ribbing (Scalloped X), which also makes the instrument slightly lighter.
The guitar is equipped with Fishman electronics with integrated tuner, which does not degrade the natural acoustic sound of the instrument. Good resonance of the strings and tuning is guaranteed by their attachment through the saddle and the zero fret made of Graph Tech NuBone material in the company's nickel mechanics and walnut headstock in a stylish Modern Viking shape. The basic materials used are suitably complemented visually and practically by the sunburst top colour scheme, cream body binding, three-layer gold pickguard, two-ring rosette and headstock logo.
