Fender Player Series electric guitars replace the popular Standard models. This is the brand's basic quality line with a clear plus in the form of price/quality ratio. The series will also attract attention with a renewed choice of colour finishes - you can now choose from Tidepool, Sage Green Metallic, Polar White and Buttercream finishes. Although these are not US-Made guitars (they are made in Ensenada, Mexico), they are also subject to a comprehensive quality control process.
The alder body of this Stratocaster is covered in a gloss polyester lacquer. The bolt-on maple neck with a pleasing Modern C profile is joined by a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Position markers make it easy to navigate its surface.
The combination of the company's pickups with Alnico magnets, i.e. a cob humbucker and two single-coils, gives the instrument a sound suitable for a wide range of musical genres. Volume potentiometers, tone shutters and a five-position pickup switch are used to adjust it. The strings are classically mounted in a single-turn vintage tremolo. Stability of tuning is guaranteed by Standard Cast/Sealed mechanics. Traditional touches are complemented by a spaghetti-style 1950s logo and a three-layer pickguard, which also protects the instrument's lacquer from scratches.
