The Fender Player II series offers more affordable electric guitars in timeless Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar and Mustang designs. Owning a musical instrument with the Fender logo is not a privilege, but almost a necessity.
The word Jazzmaster in the name of the Player II Jazzmaster RW 3TS guitar clearly suggests the original intent, but this musical instrument with its typical offset body shape has not interacted much with jazz - it has gained popularity among musicians from the alternative music scene (from surf rock to indie rock). The alder body of the guitar is covered with a glossy polyester lacquer. The maple neck with a "Modern C" profile and satin finish is glued to a rounded-edge rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets.
Two Player Series single-coil pickups with Alnico 5 magnets give the guitar a more modern Fender feel and sound that you'll appreciate in a wide range of musical styles. The character of the sound can be manipulated using the volume and tone controls and the three-position pickup switch. The strings are mounted in ClassicGear mechanicals with an 18:1 gear ratio and vintage floating tremolo brass Mustang saddles over the bridge. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by a black three-ply pickguard and 3-Tone Sunburst finish.
