Newporter electroacoustic guitars belong to the California series of the American brand Fender. These instruments are characterized by a combination of acoustic guitar features in the form of a bell-shaped body with a comfortable C-type neck profile and the headstock design of Stratocaster/Telecaster electric guitars.
The Newporter Classic ACB w/bag PF is an all-massive instrument with a medium-sized body that gives it a balanced balance of articulation and clarity. The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of solid mahogany. The resonance properties of the instrument are raised to a higher level by the reduced X ribbing.
A pau ferro fingerboard with 20 frets is glued to the mahogany neck, with maple positioning dots to facilitate orientation across its surface. Stable tuning is ensured by the attachment of strings through the zero and saddle frets made of bone in the company's sealed mechanics and a Modern Viking design headstock. The nice workmanship of the instrument is accentuated by the glossy polyurethane body lacquer, the Aged Cognac Burst finish of the soundboard or the Hawaiian koa perimeter binding and rosette.
The guitar uses a Fender/Fishman preamp with integrated tuner, which is specially set up for the guitar type and honours the acoustic sound of the instrument to the maximum. The character of the sound can be adjusted using the two-band equalizer (bass, treble) and the volume control set into the back of the instrument.
The instrument comes in a padded gig bag.
