The Malibu electroacoustic guitar belongs to the California series of the American brand Fender. These instruments are characterized by a combination of acoustic guitar features in the form of a bell-shaped body with a comfortable C-type neck profile and the headstock design of Stratocaster/Telecaster electric guitars.
The Malibu Special MAH w/bag PF guitar will please musicians who like the sound of a solid all-mahogany body, as well as instruments with a more compact shape and a shorter gauge. This makes it a suitable choice for players with smaller fingers, or conversely a challenge to play chords in normally unplayable fingerings. The instrument's resonant properties are raised to a higher level by the reduced X ribbing.
The mahogany neck is glued to a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, and orientation around its surface is facilitated by maple position dots. Stable tuning is ensured by the attachment of strings through the zero and saddle frets made of bone in the company's sealed mechanics and a Modern Viking design headstock. The instrument's fine workmanship is accentuated by the matte lacquer body and maple perimeter binding and rosette.
The guitar uses a Fender/Fishman preamp with an integrated tuner, which is specifically set up for the guitar type and honors the acoustic sound of the instrument to the fullest. The character of the sound can be adjusted using the two-band equalizer (bass, treble) and the volume control embedded in the back of the instrument.
The instrument comes in a padded gig bag.
