This Stratocaster is the signature model of the famous American blues-rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shephard. The body of the guitar is made of chambered ash. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one jumbo frets is glued to a bolted maple neck cut perpendicular to the wood's flights (Quartersawn) with a 60s C profile. Position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on its surface.
Three custom single-coil Strat pickups give the Fender Strat the tone and feel of a K. W. Shepherd guitar. Standard controls in the form of a volume potentiometer, two tone controls and a five-position toggle switch are used to adjust the sound.
The strings are mounted in the company's vintage-design synchronized tremolo pickups. The stylish look is accentuated by the Transparent Faded Sonic Blue body and headstock color scheme, four-ply imitation pearl pickguard, and the company logo and artist signature on the headstock.
The guitar comes in a case.
