This Jazzmaster is the signature model of Jim Root, guitarist of the American metal band Slipknot. You'll only really associate the jazz in the name with the familiar offset body design of Fender guitars.
The mahogany body of the instrument is decorated with a satin polyurethane lacquer. An ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two jumbo-sized frets is glued to a bolted maple neck with a "Thin C" profile. Positioning blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl and side fluorescent markers (Luminlay) make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface, giving you perfect visibility even in the backlit environments of club stages and festival stages during night sets.
Two active open-coil EMG Deamonum signature humbuckers give the guitar the density and pressure of EMG's 81/60 humbuckers, while delivering the dynamic sensitivity and versatility of EMG Retro Active pickups. Controls are reduced to the minimum necessary by the Jim Root signature model in the form of a Master Volume potentiometer and three-position pickup switch. Tuning stability and good sustain are ensured by the anchoring of the strings through the synthetic bone zero fret in the company's locking mechanisms and a solid six-saddle bridge with string attachment through the body of the instrument. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by black hardware.
The instrument comes in a high quality case (deluxe black tweed hardshell).
