The Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster brings together the worlds of electric and acoustic instruments and proves that Fender doesn't have to just look to the glorious past. The Jack White Acoustasonic Telecaster EB ECB is the signature model of Jack White, guitarist and lead singer of the American band The White Stripes.
The guitar already catches the eye at first glance with its combination of black top and white body and neck (Arctic White). The narrow bay body offers the natural volume and resonance of acoustic guitars. Thanks to the quality materials used (solid spruce top, alder body, maple neck and fingerboard), the guitar will play well unplugged in your living room, but its real strengths come from amplification.
The sound is captured by two pickups. A magnetic Shawbucker humbucker gives you the authentic tone of Fender electric guitars, plus without the typical hum of single-coils. The world of electro-acoustic guitars is represented by a Fishman sub-coil piezo pickup. With a three-position switch, you can switch between the sound of an acoustic guitar, the clean sound of an electric guitar and the rock overdrive.
Stable tuning and fast string changes are guaranteed by the company's locking mechanics. The stylish design is accentuated by a custom pickguard.
The system is powered by a li-ion battery. The USB port at the jack input is used for recharging, after a 4-5 hour recharge the battery is able to power the system for approximately twenty hours. It is possible to play and recharge at the same time. A low battery level is indicated by a red flashing LED, at higher charge levels the LED indication does not light up. The manufacturer recommends using power adapters with a minimum output of 1000 mA (1A).
