The Postmodern Stratocaster Journeyman Relic Rosewood Fingerboard Aged Olympic White is an electric guitar from the Fender Custom Shop.
The body of the guitar is made of two pieces of alder. The Journeyman Relic's Aged Olympic White finish offers elements of faux patina that are consistent with decades of common, rather domestic use. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one Narrow Tall (6150) frets is glued to a maple neck (rift-sawn) with a 59 "D" profile and contoured footboard.
The guitar's sound is handled by three Custom Shop hand-wound pickups (Custom Shop Hand-Wound Dual-Mag II Strat), with the middle one reversing polarity and winding to eliminate noise. Wiring the pickups with a 1/2 Blender Strat Wiring brings benefits in the form of maintaining a clear sound when the Volume knob is turned down (similar to a treble bleed circuit), and, thanks to the half blender, expanding the possible pickup configurations by wiring the bridge and neck pickups and all three pickups at once.
The strings are held in vintage-style tuning machines via a bone fretboard and a synchronized tremolo. The guitar comes in a case (Deluxe Hardshell) along with a strap and certificate of authenticity.
