Fender's American Ultra electric guitars build on the success of the Elite series. They combine the timeless design of Fender instruments with the most modern features. This will especially please musicians who prefer maximum flexibility in their guitars.
The ergonomically shaped body, the new "Modern D" profile of the maple neck, the rounded edges of the fingerboard and the bevelled neck foot for better control at higher fretboard positions all contribute to the excellent playing characteristics of these instruments. The compound fingerboard radius (10" - 14") and twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets offer an ideal platform for both chord playing and fast shred solos.
The combination of an Ultra Double Tap humbucker and two Ultra Noiseless single-coil pickups gives the guitar a wide range of sounds (from vintage to properly rock-distorted) that are free of annoying hum thanks to Noiseless technology. A volume control with built-in S-1 switch, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. The S-1 switch turns the full humbucker sound into a clean articulate single-coil tone while maintaining the same volume.
Tuning stability is ensured by fitting the strings across the bone zero fret in Deluxe Cast/Sealed Locking and a synchronized tremolo with two-point locking. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the company logo on the headstock and a three-layer pickguard in Aged White, which also protects the lacquer from scratches.
