The American Professional II series combines the best of classic Fender electric guitar design with modern design features and solutions. The instruments in this series are thus the ideal choice for players who appreciate playing characteristics and features that meet today's demands more than the authentic look of the originals and the "aged" finish of the guitars.

The alder body of this Jazzmaster is covered in a glossy polyurethane lacquer. The maple neck with a "Deep C" profile (on the border between Modern C and U) fits perfectly in your hand - whether you're playing fast solos or chords. Twenty-two Narrow Tall frets and black position dots divide the maple fingerboard surface. Rounded fingerboard edges and a newly shaped neck foot ensure easy and comfortable fingerboard playability across the entire fingerboard surface.

At the heart of every guitar are the pickups. In the case of this model, it's a pair of V-Mod II single-coil pickups that offer a beautifully articulate sound while maintaining a classic Jazzmaster feel. As part of the setup, you can switch between a Lead circuit (with sound corrections via potentiometers) and a Rhythm circuit with pickups in series and corrections via two rotary knobs. The Tone potentiometer with Push/Push function allows you to "tap" the pickup and change its strong signal to a more "vintage" one. The Treble Bleed circuit ensures a constant tone quality without accentuating the bass when the Volume knob is reduced.

The strings are anchored in the company's tuning machines (Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered) and a Jazzmaster tailpiece with a new "Panorama" tremolo design with a traditional extended tremolo lever.

The guitar comes in a moulded case.
