The Fender Acoustasonic Player Telecaster brings together the worlds of electric and acoustic guitars, proving that Fender doesn't just have to look to the glorious past. Although these are not US-Made guitars (they are made in Ensenada, Mexico), even these instruments are subject to comprehensive output controls.
The Acoustasonic Player Telecaster catches the eye at first glance with its cool design and playing characteristics derived from both Telecaster-type electric guitars and acoustic instruments. The narrow bellows body offers the natural volume and resonance of acoustic guitars. It will play well "unplugged" in your living room, but the real strengths of this guitar come from amplification.
The sound is captured by two pickups. A magnetic single-coil gives you the authentic tone of Fender electric guitars, while the world of electro-acoustic guitars is represented by an under-coil piezo pickup. Use the knobs to adjust the volume, ratio of magnetic and sub-coil pickups, and a three-position switch to toggle between acoustic and electric guitar simulations (the guitar offers six different sounds).
