The 70th Anniversary American Professional II Stratocaster, Rosewood Fingerboard, Comet Burst model from the limited Anniversary Series commemorates seven decades of timeless Fender Stratocaster sound and design. The guitar's alder body is adorned with a fancy flamed maple top and a cool Comet Burst finish. The maple neck with its "Deep C" profile (a cross between Modern C and U) fits perfectly in your hand - whether you're playing fast solos or chords. The rosewood fingerboard is divided by twenty-two Narrow Tall frets and white position dots. Rounded fingerboard edges and a newly shaped neck foot ensure easy and comfortable fingerboard playability across the entire fingerboard surface.

At the heart of every guitar are the pickups. In the case of this model, it's a trio of 70th Anniversary V-Mod II Single-Coil Strat pickups that offer a dynamic, expressive sound while maintaining a classic Strat feel. The character of the sound can be shaped using the volume knob, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch (the push/push function of the second tone control activates the neck pickup at positions 1 and 2). The Treble Bleed circuit ensures a constant tone quality without accentuating the bass when volume is reduced with the Volume control.

Strings are anchored via a bone fret in the company's Deluxe Cast/Sealed Locking tuning machines and synchronized tremolo with steel saddles and two-point attachment. The stylish finish is accentuated by a four-layer imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and logo on the headstock.

The guitar comes in a deluxe moulded case.
