Fender 1983 Bullet Bass Deluxe Long Scale

BoutiqueUsed Electric Bass Guitar / HN241527
The Bullet was the spiritual successor to the Musicmaster and Mustang (discontinued 1981). It was equipped with the split-coil pickup from the Mustang and was produced in 2 versions: a short 30" and a long 34" gauge. The Bullet was only briefly manufactured directly under the Fender brand in Fullerton, California, and not long after its introduction, production was moved to Japan under the Squier brand.

Also from the not-so-numerous American production is this example, which features a long 34" bore, maple neck and ash body in three-tone sunburst, the original frets have a 7.25" radius.

The instrument is largely original, except for the following: the pickguard is newer and there is routing underneath for a classic (i.e. larger) PB pickup. The zero fret is new. There are faint sticker marks on the headstock and body. There is a small hole taped on the back of the headstock, probably from a strap pin.

The pickups, potentiometers, frets, mechanics, headstock, lacquer are all original - everything essential to maintain sonic authenticity. The instrument has the warm, warm sound so typical of vintage Fenders.

It is, of course, a second-hand item, sold under the BAZAAR VAT regime.
