Fender 1975 Jazzmaster

BoutiqueUsed Electric Guitar / HN244348
Vintage guitar in excellent condition with luxury accessories from Mastery. Collectible yet 100% playable instrument.

A model constructed in the era of surf music and instrumental rock in the 50's, however 2 decades later with the advent of hard-rock it stood aside from the mainstream and as it went out of fashion its sales were very low, in 1980 production of the original model was discontinued.

Jazzmasters from the 70s are therefore very rare. This 1975 example made in the original Fullerton factory is one of them. Jazzmasters at the time were made with parts from older stock, for example the original potentiometers on this guitar date back to 1966!

This model enjoyed a renaissance in the 80's and 90's thanks to alternative bands; famous players include Elvis Costello, Robert Smith (The Cure), Brian Molko (Placebo), J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA) and others.

This particular guitar has an alder body and maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The original tremolo and cob (the model's structural weakness) are replaced, along with the string pickups, with high-quality parts from Mastery. The volume potentiometer and the zero fret have been replaced. The original grasshopper, tremolo and potentiometer are included.

This guitar gem is being sold including a modern Fender case under the BAZAAR VAT scheme.
