Vintage classic in almost completely original condition. A collector's piece that also plays great!
Precision v's were built in the first half of the 70's in Ash wood, this piece has the original clear coat finish in Natural. The neck is a single piece of maple and is set with 20 frets, which are also original. The neck is attached to the body with 4 screws and under the neckplate, which is stamped with the serial number, is a typical plastic backing plate. We have replaced the tone diaphragm potentiometer which was rattling, but the original one is attached to the instrument. The pickups are dated 1974. The body is protected by the original white pickguard.
The bass is in condition commensurate with its age, with no major damage or wear. The apparent crack at the E string mechanics has been examined and is only superficial in the paint, we have photographed everything. There is a scuff on the back of the body in the classic place, presumably from a player's tape. The fingerboard is dulled on the sides, giving the instrument the appearance of a repair relic.
The strength of this instrument is its solidity and solidity, both in sound and workmanship, it is a typical uncompromised precision.
