The 5150 Iconic Series 40W EL34 1x12 Combo Black offers a punchy EVH tube sound at a more affordable price. This is a two-channel, 40-watt combo equipped with a custom-made 12-inch Celestion speaker, a pair of ECC83 tubes in the preamp, and two EL34 end tubes.
The two channels, labeled Green and Red, offer custom gain and volume controls and share a three-band EQ, built-in reverb effect, footswitch-controlled Boost with up to +10dB of output, and Presence and Resonance limiter controls. You can change the clean sound of the Green channel to rock-distorted with the Overdrive switch, while the Burn switch on the Red channel sends the sound into the realms of high-gain distortion. The Red channel also has Noise Gate for noise filtering.
The rear panel offers an effects loop, power attenuator (Full, 1/4), two speaker outputs with selectable impedance (4, 8, 16 ohms), 6.3 mm jack preamp out, XLR output with speaker emulation, and a jack for the included dual-channel footswitch (channel switching, boost on/off). The cabinet of the combo is covered with a black textured vinyl cover.
