The ESP LTD TE 200/201 electric guitars are well crafted instruments in the classic single-cut T design, offering all the important elements of the TE series at a price affordable to a wide range of buyers, including young beginners.
The TE-200DX BLUE BURST model's poplar body is adorned with a spectacular poplar burl top veneer. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets is glued to a bolted roasted maple neck. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by offset position dots.
Two proprietary passive humbuckers give the guitar an aggressive sound suitable for contemporary rock and metal music, as well as a pure single-coil feel (thanks to the ability to split the humbucker coils). The strings are anchored in the company's tuning machines and through a solid bridge through the body. The stylish finish is accentuated by the Blue Burst color scheme and black chrome hardware.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in more affordable designs.
