ESP LTD SC-20 3TONE SUNBURST is a signature model of guitarist Stephen Carpenter from American nu-metal band Deftones. The number in the name marks twenty years of cooperation between the guitarist and ESP.
The body construction of the guitar consists of alder wings and a through-neck made of three pieces of maple with a narrower fast Thin U profile. Twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface. The side luminescent dots give you a perfect view of what's happening on the fingerboard and in the dark corners of the stage.
The combination of the company's passive pickups (humbucker and single-coil) with a Seymour Duncan passive humbucker at the bridge position gives the guitar the necessary sonic drive with good dynamics and articulation of individual notes and chords/chord breakdowns. Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment in the company's quality LTD Locking mechanisms and in the solid Tonepros Locking TOM tailpiece with string anchoring through the body of the guitar.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
